Learning from disasters updated

The Resources Regulator’s Learning from disasters interactive timeline has recently been updated with a new case study on the explosion that occurred at Dudley Colliery NSW in 1898, which killed 15 mineworkers.

Learning from experience, preventing devastating reoccurrences and improving the health and safety of all those working in the mining industry is a profound way to acknowledge and recognise all those affected by mining incidents throughout history.

The Resources Regulator has published a number of online resources on this topic, including an interactive timeline and a training package consisting of three programs to ensure mine workers learn from past mining disasters.
